In the heart of Suisse Normande, in the Orne, 1 hour from Caen, 1h30 from Rennes and Le Havre and 3 hours from Paris, we welcome you to the Domaine de la Boderie, a former 16th century stronghold of 10 hectares, nestled in the end of a path, surrounded by nature. Our domain, managed in an eco-responsible way, contains four accommodations from 2 to 13 people for a total capacity of 36 people. Spaces for work (a dojo and a theatre) and well-being (privatized sauna, friendly reception area) complete our offer. Each of our accommodations is independent. The Japanese Pavilion, partly on stilts, is almost entirely made of wood. Its terrace overlooks our small lake and the meadows in the distance. The interiors are typically Japanese: tatami floors, sliding rice paper doors... You can dine on site with a Japanese or Western meal. You will appreciate the company of our friends the donkeys with whom you can hike. You can also rent one of our 4 bicycles, 2 of which are electric, to discover the small roads and paths of our Normandy bocage.
We are committed to providing responsible services and tourism. This is why our place is managed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. The entire estate is part of a preserved habitat and is labeled Gîte Panda (WWF). They have received the designation Ecogîte, for their thoughtful design with a view to preserving natural resources. Marie arrived in 1993 with her partner Daniel to create a place to live and work around theater and aikido, their respective professions. Guillaume and Emilie take up the torch out of love for this remarkable estate.
