Halfway between la Rochelle-Ile de Ré and the marshes of the Marais Poitevin, not far from Rochefort, la Jolie Longère Fleurie is an old Charentaise farm from 1920, renovated, set in a large 2000m² garden. Three unusual accommodations have been added around a swimming pool and among flowers and fruit trees: an authentic caravan, an African "safari" type tent and a wooden "tiny house". Each accommodation is independent, has a bathroom, a kitchenette, a living space in addition to the bedroom. On site, "slow" tourism is favoured: hammocks, board games, chess table, books, swimming pool, barely disturbed by the pecking of a few neighboring chickens. Easy access, free enclosed parking, restaurants and shops nearby.
After a first life as a press reporter for 15 years, I moved to the Ile de Ré in 2003 where I created the very first concierge service company for holiday homes in the region. 20 years later, I I sold this company and sought to move away from mass tourism in order to set up a more human, calmer, more authentic tourism project. This is how la Jolie Longère Fleurie was born. A "longère" is a traditional, rural dwelling, developed "lengthwise" and is often perpendicular to the road. The Jolie Longère Fleurie, which dates from 1920 for the main building, also owes its name to the first syllables of the first names of my 3 daughters. Welcome.
