An old school bus converted into a studio, it was the home of a clown artist for his tours. A large Tipi tent installed nearby serves as an extra room for children or adults (equipped with real beds). It is located on the southern border of Lot-et-Garonne, very close to the Gers, between the Brulhois country and the valleys of Lomagne, on the outskirts of Astaffort, a charming Gascon village, which offers all the necessary services and shops, and many leisure activities. The shady bus opens onto a large terrace, facing the clearing of a 2-hectare oak wood, with the sunny pool in the background. Away from noise and any pollution, the stars shine brightly in the clearing. The closest neighbors are calves and deer, foxes, hares, partridges, pheasants and squirrels. Prepare your hiking or cycling, plan your cultural or gastronomic outings, enjoy outdoor games or outdoor cuisine (barbcue, wok, plancha), hammocks and relax chairs, will allow you to never get bored and choose the tempo of your stay.
Fred is a native of the village. He grew up between Laplume and Astaffort, this wood was his favorite playground. After a professional life spent in the performing arts, the economic situation not being at its best in this sector, he felt a need for nature and to revive this wood that was gained by the wasteland. This is how the new life of the Bois de Mondon began. One of his clown friends lived on the roads of Europe in this bus that he had turned into a trailer. This clown met another clown, a baby clown was born, and the need to settle down (in Spain) too; this is how this magnificent roulotté landed in Astaffort. The work to refresh it, improve its comfort, prepare a setting for rest and ecological and responsible tourism, equip the field to make it autonomous and comfortable, will have filled the free time of Fred and his partner Rebecca (nursing assistant in psychiatry) for almost 3 years.
